IA9100 Consulting and Gap Assessment

Paradygm Consulting helps organizations move from AS9100D to IA9100 with a clear plan and practical support. We have more than 25 years of experience with ISO-based management systems, including the AS9100 family (AS9100, AS9110 and AS9120), ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and R2.

We are consultants and auditors, not a certification body. We do not issue certificates. Our job is to help you get ready for the audit your certification body (CB) performs.

IA9100 gap assessment

A gap assessment is the most useful first step in any transition. Ours typically includes:

Scoping — agreeing which sites, processes and standards are in scope (IA9100, IA9110 or IA9120).
Document review — your quality manual (if any), procedures, risk tools, supplier requirements and key records.
On-site or remote interviews — with leadership, process owners and front-line staff, to confirm how processes actually run.
Process sampling — following real jobs, orders or work packages through the system.
Gap report — each gap described in plain language, rated by risk and effort, with a suggested approach.
Action plan — owners, target dates and a realistic sequence that fits your audit schedule.

Implementation support

Once gaps are known, we can help you close them in a way that fits your organization:

updating risk and opportunity methods,
strengthening operational planning, including FOD, measurement systems, information security and APQP-style planning (see commentary),
reviewing counterfeit and suspect parts controls (see commentary),
refreshing supplier approval, monitoring and flow-down,
simplifying documentation so it supports the work instead of slowing it down.

Internal audit support

Before your CB transition audit, an independent internal audit against IA9100 gives you an honest view of readiness. We can perform internal audits on your behalf or alongside your internal audit team, and help you prepare inputs for management review.

Integrated management systems

If you also run ISO 14001, ISO 45001 or R2, we can look for ways to align common processes — document control, internal audit, corrective action and management review — to reduce duplication.
